Tiziano Bonomo

Tiziano Bonomo was born in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1998. He began his bachelor’s studies in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich in 2018 and completed his master’s degree in the same field in 2025. During his studies, he developed a strong interest in biomedical engineering.

For his Semester Project, he joined the Functional Immune Repertoire Analysis Laboratory, where he developed a microfluidic and acoustofluidic system to study the relationship between the mechanical and functional properties of immune cells.

For his Master’s Thesis, he joined MSRL, focusing on the microfluidic synthesis of capsule-based microrobots capable of delivering both synthetic and living cargo. In November 2025, he returned to MSRL to pursue his doctoral studies, where his research now focuses on the development of advanced catheters for targeted therapies.

In his spare time, Tiziano enjoys running, riding his motorbike, playing guitar, and exploring film photography.
