Erdem Can Siringil

Erdem Siringil was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1985. After graduating from Austrian Highschool St. Georgs-Kolleg, Istanbul, he received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koc University, Istanbul in 2008. During his bachelor studies he joined Optical Microsystems Laboratory (OML) at Koc University as undergraduate researcher, where he focused on optical MEMS, electromagnetic/-static actuators and microfabrication. He received his M.Sc. degree from ETH Zürich in Biomedical Engineering in 2011. He completed his master thesis in MSRL focusing on fabrication and electromagnetic actuation of magnetic polymer composite helical swimming microrobots for biomedical applications. From 2012 to 2014 he joined Laboratory for Advanced Materials Processing, Empa in Thun as R&D engineer working on Laser-surfacemicrostructuring for various applications. In Oktober 2014 he returned to MSRL as research engineer working on HW/SW development for projects and microfabrication.
