Christophe Chautems

Dr. Christophe Chautems studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich. Between September 2009 and June 2011, he was involved in research project at Nasa Ames and at ESA where he deepened his knowledge in autonomous planetary rover navigation. He then spends 15 months working for the automotive industry before joining Aeon Scientific to develop an electro-magnetic navigation system to steer catheter for cardiac arrhythmia ablations.

In June 2016, he joined MSRL with the purpose to shape the future of the magnetic navigation technology for application in the medical field, and support MSRL with his experience in designing robotic medical device. In 2018 and 2019, his patent applications where selected as one of the most promising invention filed by ETH Zurich and in 2018 one of his paper received a best paper award from the society of cardiac robotic navigation.
