Jasan Zughaibi
Jasan received his B.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from TU Berlin, Germany, in 2017 and his M.Sc. degree in Robotics, Systems, and Control from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2020 - both awarded with distinction. For his master’s thesis entitled "Design, Modeling and Control of a Spherical Soft Robotic Arm for Pick-and-Place Applications" at Raff D’Andrea’s lab, he was awarded the ETEL Master award of ETH Zurich and the Hans-Eggenberger Award.
His main research interests include the modeling of dynamical systems and the development of learning control algorithms for magnetically actuated continuum robots. He was one of only 13 candidates selected from over 1,000 applicants for a doctoral fellowship at the Max Planck ETH Center for Learning Systems, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bradley Nelson and Dr. Michael Muehlebach.
