Roland Dreyfus
Roland Dreyfus was born in Solothurn, Switzerland in Mai 1991. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at ETH in Lausanne before doing an internship at Nanosurf AG in Liestal, working on atomic force microscopes.
He went on to do his Master’s studies in mechanical engineering at ETH in Zurich, focusing on biomedical engineering. His interests in biomedical applications and sensory systems led to a semester thesis on a sensor designed to measure the blood volume of the human heart. During his master thesis at the Laboratory of Bioelectronics and Biosensors, he worked on a diffractometric biosensor enabling to monitor biomolecular interactions.
Roland Dreyfus joined the MSRL as a PhD student in April 2018. His purpose is to research and develop magnetically guided catheter technologies, designed for medical procedures.
